This is our African country assignment list:

2) Egypt - Analise
3) Guinea - Storm
4) Libya - Chief Bonzon
5) Mali - Gonny
6) Morocco - Aiden
7) South Africa - Deana
8) Sudan - Delia
9) Tanzania - Rose
10) Madagascar* - Clare
11) Zambia - Leo
= where our young agents will visit, explore, and discover.
* changed when it was discovered that Western Sahara is part of/governed by Morocco.
Q: How did you come up with the list of countries?
A: In pairs, the agents looked at an atlas of Africa and selected three to five countries, for one or two they had agree. They suggested countries they might be interested in researching and exploring. These countries were then written on cards and the agents selected their country from the cards. This time there was no switching or trading, because in school and life they may not always be able to self-select a novel to read or a partner or project to work with.

African Countries Research Packets
Here are two book resources that help us research our countries: (> click on title to open and download entire packet)
1) World Facts Book
and
2) Operation World (did not have Agent Clare's Western Sahara country)
I recommend you find the one or two pages for your country and read and/or print only those pages out.

Below is the spreadsheet of information our young field agents have inserted in the form above. Agents and their immediate Field Supervisors (Parents) can therefore highlight or select their child's country information, copy, and paste into another application like a word processor.
